Kingsport, TN – The Winston Modified Tour made their series debut at Kingsport Speedway last Sunday for the Rocky Top 100. Michigan native Ricky LaDuke made his much anticipated series return and wouldn’t disappoint. LaDuke would win the Pomfret Wine and Spirits Pole award and lead a race high 35 Laps. There was action all around the race track but the fans would be treated to a thrilling finish. Jim Windrow was leading and racing back to the caution flag to decide the race and would dive into 3 hard only to wash up and have to let off the gas not to take down the turn 4 wall. This allowed Chad Barcomb to dive to the inside and setup the drag race to the finish. Barcomb was able to cross the line 0.003 seconds ahead of Windrow to secure his first victory of the season! The Winston Modified Tour will bring the action next week to the high banks of Monadnock Speedway for the Wonder Casino 150. We hope to catch everyone there!
