Lee, NH – Last Sunday the Winston Modified Tour rolled into Lee USA Speedway for their fourth race of the season. Kyle Lawson would enter the event as the points leader but due to mechanical issues after Qualifying, he would have to withdraw from the event. This opened the door for all of the competitors a d could have major implications on the Championship run. Dave Melson would claim the pole for the 100 lap feature event. The race would have a lot of intense battles on the track including the one for the lead. There was a total of 29 lead changes between 8 different drivers. Jim Windrow would use pit strategy to work his way to the front and restart 2nd with 20 laps to go. LaDuke would select the inside lane and Windrow would muscle past him on the outside and never look back. Leading a race high 34 laps Windrow would secure his second win of the season. LaDuke would finish 2nd followed by Melson, Matt Smith and Fred Hill to round out the Top 5. The Winston Modified Tour will be back in action on Daytona 500 Sunday at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl for the Budweiser 100.
