TNT Whelen Modifieds Head To Oxford Maine

Last week’s drama at the 5/8 mile Flemington Speedway had 15 drivers signed into the pits for practice. During time trials Dave Melson in the #13 came out on top with a time of 19.880 sec and Terry Bombard in the #10 starting on the outside of row one. The race had 16 lead changes among 7 drivers being slowed 10 times for the yellow. Fourteen laps into the event, Matt Smith in the #37 drove his machine hard into the pit road wall ending his night early. Dave Melson led the most laps with 54 but would be relegated to the back of the field on the last restart. Terry Bombard would inherit the lead on the restart with the #58 Fred Hill in 2nd.  As the final laps ticked off, Terry would cross the line for his 1st win of the season. Dave Melson would come from the back and pass the the 58 by .10 sec at the line for 2nd, Fred Hill in 3rd and Rich Warden in the 59 4th.

This week the TNT Modifieds head to the 3/8 mile Oxford Plains Speedway for their 100 lap night event. Series and Invader drivers will hit the track for practice at 8:30 PM EDT with qualifying set for approximately 9:00 PM EDT.
