Last week’s drama unfolded at the famous 1/4 mile Riverside Park Speedway. 14 drivers signed into the pits. Qualifying had the fast time of 11.820 turned in by Dave Melson in the #13. Danny Savary in the #21 landed on the outside of row one. The race was slowed 6 times for the yellow, had 1 lead changed among 2 drivers and 6 drivers finishing on the lead lap. The #13 would hold the lead for 47 laps but it would be the #12 of Jim Windrow holding the point for 53 laps and take the checker flag for his second win of the season. Danny Savary would finish where he started crossing the line in 2nd and Dave Melson would hold onto 3rd.
This week’s drama will unfold at the 1/2 mile Jennerstown Speedway for a 100 lap night event. Drivers, series and invaders, will take their practice session at 8:30 PM EDT with qualifying set at approximately 9 PM EDT.
Jim Windrow took over the points lead, jumping 2 positions, Dave Melson in 2nd and Chad Barcomb in 3rd, both 2 points behind.
