Barre, VT – Last Wednesday Danny Savary was able to wheel his brand new #21 George & Ken’s Collision Modified into Victory lane at Thunder Road. Savary was able to extend his points lead over the entire field as Championship hopeful Dave Melson sat on the pole but was caught up in an incident on lap 34 and would earn his first DNF of the season, all but ending his Championship dreams. Jim Windrow was able to finish second and leap frog Melson in the points and move up to second in the standings only 17 points behind Savary. Savary would lead a race high 58 laps en route to his 4th victory of the season! The coming Wednesday night the Winston Modified Tour will wrap up their inaugural season at Riverside Park Speedway in the Pepsi 200.
