Winchester, IN – The Michigan Racing Series Outlaw Late Models would start their season this past Sunday at Winchester Speedway in Winchester Indiana. Eight cars would make the trip to Indiana for the season opener. Matt Smith would start from the pole and lead the first 27 laps until his engine would expire while having a three second lead over the second place car. Bobby Ambroceo would dominate the race the rest of the way. With a final restart that setup a green white checkered finish would prove to be costly to Ambroceo but was caused from hard racing. Danny Savary would get the jump on the restart and pull a cross over move in the turn. Coming out of turn 4 to the white flag, Savary would bottom out and shoot up to the wall and his car bounced off the wall collecting Ambroceo who had no where to go. The seas parted and Jim Windrow would sneak through the hole and lead the final lap and take the victory. Larry Yeager would have a career best finish in 2nd followed by Bill Kring. Danny Savary would end up 4th and Bobby Ambroceo would finish 5th. Next up for the Outlaw Late Models is Columbus 151 Speedway in Columbus Wisconsin!
