Myrtle Beach, SC – The Winston Modified Tour made their way into Myrtle Beach Speedway for the first time in series history. Series points leader Kyle Lawson would top the charts in practice. He would carry his momentum into qualifying and snag his first career pole on the Winston Modified Tour with a record setting 18.691 second lap. Dave Melson would lead the way in final practice. It was then time for the Coors Light 100. The race would be slowed 13 times. Mostly due to Christ Taylor with a extremely loose race car. There would be an outstanding 29 lead changes between 8 drivers. Todd Taylor would lead the most laps on the night leading 36 laps. The battle would come down to the final restart with 8 laps to go. Lawson would put the pressure all over LaDuke. When the checkered flag flew it would be LaDuke side by side with Lawson beating him across the line by 0.030 seconds. LaDuke writes his name in history as the first driver to win at Myrtle Beach Speedway in the Winston Modified Tour. Lawson would finish second, Windrow, Todd Taylor and Chad Barcomb completing the Top 5. Melson, Terry Bombard, Ray Christian, Mitch Bombard and Fred Hill would round out the Top 10.
