South Boston, VA – Last night the Winston Modified Tour thundered their way into South Boston Speedway for the Bojangels 100. Michigan native Bill Kring in the #32 Modified was the man to beat. Kring was fastest in practice and would also set on the pole. Kring got off to a fast start with Windrow on his bumper as the two navigated through heavy lapped traffic. Kring would lead a race high 66 laps. Windrow would get around Kring to lead 22 laps, but it would be with roughly 30 laps to go Windrow would make the mistake. Once again while going through lapped cars, Kring would have to lift and Windrow couldn’t react in time. Windrow would spin Kring while the two were running first and second. This would hand the lead over to Chad Barcomb. Barcomb would lead the final 30 laps in route to his 4th win of the season. Windrow would rally back to finish 2nd, Michael Johnson would be 3rd. Fred Hill and Bill Kring would round out the top 5. With the win Barcomb extends his points lead over Hill and Windrow by 15 points. The Winston Modified Tour will be in action this coming weekend at Riverhead Raceway for the Cracker Barrel 100.
